Mini-summit to discuss euro after June 17 polls?

The outcome of the Greek elections and ways to deal with the eurozone crisis are expected to top the agenda of a meeting of the heads of state of France, Germany, Spain and Italy in Rome, that may take place after the June 17 polls, a report by Euractiv suggested on Tuesday morning, citing Italian press reports.

Italian technocrat Prime Minister Mario Monti reportedly suggested a meeting with French President Francois Hollande, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel -- who is said to have reacted to the idea with some skepticism given that an EU summit is already scheduled to take place in Brussels at the end of June.
