Heavy rain forces metro station shutdown

The Megaro Mousikis metro station in central Athens was briefly shut down Monday after two days of heavy rainfall caused flooding in many parts of the capital, as well as traffic disruptions. A 33-year-old man who was reported missing on Zakynthos was found dead on Sunday, while the island’s roads also sustained damage. Heavy rain and snow are forecast for the mountains and other areas of northern and central Greece today, according to the National Meteorological Service, while storms are expected in eastern and southern parts of the country.
