Tax payment reluctance despite inducements

Unpaid taxes in the first half of 2021 reached 2.93 billion euros and worried authorities are trying to reel in revenue by offering generous instalment schemes and canceling small debts. Despite this, a total of 3,550,274 individuals and companies owe taxes and, in 1,303,900 cases, the state has frozen bank accounts.
