Cooperation of Piraeus Port with the port of Guangzhou

Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) and Guangzhou port in China, signed on Saturday morning in Piraeus a memorandum of understanding meant to enhance their cooperation.

The historic port of the Chinese metropolis and OLP, that is majority-controled by Cosco, signed an agreement on various forms of exchanges, visits and business promotion activities, as well as to exchange training for port staff and promote the opening of routes between the two ports.

In the future, the two ports will continue to work together to promote the opening of shipping routes and of trade between Greece and China via these two important maritime gateways.

The two parties have agreed to follow the principle of “win-win cooperation, complementary advantages and common development”, deepen their cooperation, establish a long-term strategic partnership for the future, and consolidate further the relationship between OLP and Guangzhou Port.
