Rio-Antirrio bridge turning 20

After robots were used to check the state of the pylons submerged 65 meters below sea level and alpinists completed their annual overhaul last week, a team of divers will be deployed on the massive maintenance project of the Rio-Antirrio bridge, which turns 20 next month.

Sani Development and Tourism Company SA, the highest bidder for the development of the Sani-Kassandra property on the Halkidiki peninsula, signed the agreement for the development of the area assessed at 8.6 million euros, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED), a member company of Growthfund, the National Fund of Greece, said on Tuesday. Sani’s winning bid had been announced in January.
