Double-digit growth seen in bookings from Russian market
Bookings from Russia this year are up more than 10 percent compared to 2015, according to the head of the Association of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises (SETE), Andreas Andreadis.
That should serve to cover part of last year’s drop in Russian arrivals, which came to about 700,000, he estimated.
On Tuesday Andreadis met with Alternate Foreign Minister Nikos Xydakis, with the agenda of their talks including the staffing of the country’s consular authorities in Russia so that they are able to meet the increased demand for visas for Russian travelers.
