CEO: OTE keeps growing despite crisis
The head of Greece’s dominant telecoms operator OTE, Michael Tsamaz, told the group’s shareholders on Thursday that OTE has continued to grow despite the crisis.
Addressing the 64th annual general meeting in Maroussi, northern Athens, chairman and CEO Tsamaz said that 2015 had been a successful year and emphasized the group’s investment in the development of next-generation networks and infrastructure.
“We are responsible for 60 percent of total investment in the telecommunications market. We have not stopped or hesitated, not even during the crisis,” noted the OTE chief.
“Everything we do is for our customers, for the people that will use the new networks and speeds to change the world around us. And the end user is not interested in what infrastructure we use, but in how good the service is,” Tsamaz stressed at the general meeting.
