High temperatures prompting site closures
Tourists walk across Syntagma Square in downtown Athens on Saturday, as temperatures in parts of the capital reached 40 degrees Celsius. Several archaeological sites across the country have been ordered closed Monday to protect staff and visitors from the heat.
