Migrants and refugees set up camp at Pedion tou Areos

Dozens of migrants and refugees have set up camp in one of Athens's largest parks at Pedion tou Areos. Unable to provide proper housing facilities, the Attica Regional Authority is working with NGOs that specialize in such issues to ensure that the migrants, mainly Syrian and Afghan refugees fleeing war, are provided with food and medical assistance.
