[Hellenic Navy]
Members of the Underwater Demolition Command of the Hellenic Navy defused WWII-era explosives that had been sunk in the bay surrounding the Peloponnesian city of Monemvasia over two weeks in April.
This second phase of the defusal operation took place from April 8 to April 23 and included retrieval of the explosives, transporting them to a safe location, before neutralizing them through controlled explosions.
