More firefighters sent to control Achaia blaze

Additional firefighting staff had to be called in to assist in a forest fire that broke out in a forested area near the village of Kato Mavriki, in the region of Achaia, the Fire Brigade said on Friday.
A total of 42 firefighters, along with 2 ground teams, 13 fire engines, 4 water-dowsing aircraft, and municipal water provisions were involved in fighting the fire.
