Hatzidakis attends Eurogroup, ECOFIN meetings in Luxembourg

National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis has been in Luxembourg since Monday to take part in the Eurogroup and ECOFIN meetings. 

The Eurogroup meeting agenda included a discussion on the Transatlantic Economic Dialogue in the presence of US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. 

Also discussed was the future of the European capital markets, the digital euro, the contribution of the growth and resilience plans to meeting the economic priorities of the eurozone and the results of the International Monetary Fund’s annual meeting that was held in Marrakesh. 

On Tuesday, the ECOFIN meeting will focus on the reform of the rules of economic governance. The agenda also includes a briefing on the implementation course of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, a discussion on the economic impact of the war in Ukraine and the coordination of the European institutions ahead of the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COPS28) that will be held in Dubai. 

On the sidelines of the conferences, Hatzidakis will have a series of meetings with European officials.
