Pensioner census to end September 30
IKA director Rovertos Spyropoulos on Monday called on all pensioners who did not take part in a census conducted by the country?s biggest social security fund to submit their details to their local IKA branch by Friday, September 30, or, in the case that they are disabled or bedridden, to call their local branch for a representative to visit them at home.
The director of the cash-strapped health care and pension fund told Skai television that the organization has already made savings of 60 million euros by better monitoring the prescription of medications, adding that the census will help it weed out people receiving money they are not entitled to so that IKA can reach its target of 100-150 million euros in savings.
