Papandreou to address the nation at 8 pm
Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou will make an address to the nation on Thursday at 8 p.m. Greek time, according to an e-mailed statement from his office in Athens.
Papandreou will brief President Karolos Papoulias on the results of the European Union summit on his arrival in Athens at 4:30 p.m. and will then confer with his ministers, according to the statement.
Papandreou also plans to meet with lawmakers at his ruling Pasok party on Oct. 31, according to the statement.
