Illegal burials continue in Glyfada
Police were called to an illegal graveyard in the southern Athens suburb of Glyfada on Saturday after residents complained that two burials took place.
The Environment Ministry deemed earlier this year there should be no more funerals at the site as the local municipality and the church had built the graveyard illegally.
They both complained that there was no more space at Glyfada?s main cemetery and that authorities were taking too long to issue a license for a new one.
