Soccer fan club firebombed

At least eight shops and several cars were damaged in Volos, central Greece, early on Sunday when an explosive device went off outside an Olympiakos fan club.

Police said that the device probably contained dynamite and was not made up of camping gas canisters as is usually the case in such attacks.

Nobody was injured in the blast, which occurred at around 5.30 a.m.

Authorities believe that the bomb was planted by rival soccer fans.
