Athens, Piraeus not joining 2-day pharmacists’ strike
Pharmacies in Athens and Piraeus will be operating as normal on Thursday and Friday, as the union representing them decided not to join a two-day national strike called by the Panhellenic Pharmacists Association.
Pharmacies in Hania, Argolida and Rhodope will also be operating as normal.
In Athens and Piraeus, pharmacists said they would stop giving drugs on credit to social security funds that still owe them money.
Protesters object to state spending cuts on pharmaceuticals as well as the liberalization of the sector.
