LAOS party to open discount grocery store
The leader of Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS), Giorgos Karatzaferis, said the right-wing party would open a ?social grocery store,? in other words a shop selling products at discounted prices or giving them away for free, next to its central Athens headquarters.
LAOS already has a cafe in the basement of the building that houses its offices but Karatzaferis said he wanted to help Greeks suffering economic problems. He said the store?s first task would be to distribute 200 containers of olive oil.
Karatzaferis offered producers who donate their goods free advertising time on his TV station, Tile Asty.
