Pensioner commits suicide in Kifissia
A 75-year-old man shot himself in the early hours of Tuesday in the affluent northern Athenian suburb of Kifissia, with police reports suggesting that he left a suicide note explaining his motives.
According to the reports, the retired civil engineer and father of two faced serious financial difficulties. He shot himself with a hunting rifle outside his home, where local residents witnessed the event.
