Second Energa executive remanded in custody
A second suspect implicated in the scandal involving energy suppliers Hellas Power and Energa was remanded in custody on Friday.
Aristidis Floros, the president of Energa, was put in pretrial custody after being charged with money laundering. His son, Achilleas Floros, was also due to face a prosecutor.
On Thursday, another Energa executive, Charalambos Smyrliadis, was also remanded in custody.
Energa and Hellas Power had their licenses suspended in January by DESMIE, Greece?s electricity grid operator, over some 200 million euros in unpaid debts.
