Santorini residents demand hospital opening

Some 2,000 residents of the southeastern Aegean island of Santorini on Tuesday staged a protest demanding that a general hospital built on the island some 18 months ago be put into operation.

The firm that carried out the construction claims it is owed 2.5 million euros by the state for the project and will not deliver the building until the money is paid.
