Two arrested over brutal beating in Crete
Police in Iraklio, Crete, have arrested two of four suspects in connection with Thursday’s attack that left a 42-year-old man fighting for his life.
The suspects are expected to face a prosecutor.
The victim and a 35-year-old relative were beaten up by four men wielding shepherd’s crooks in the village of Kalamaki in the municipality of Faistos.
According to the 35-year-old, who escaped with only minor injuries, the assailants had wanted to intimidate them ahead of a trial over a case of animal theft two years ago.
