Trikala Prison fugitives may have slipped into Albania, source suggests
Greek police, border guards and coast guard officers continued on Friday to search for two fugitives from Trikala Prison along the Greek-Albanian border, but senior sources refused to rule out the possibility that the men – Marian Kola and Ilir Koupa – had crossed back into Albania, their homeland.
Police sources added that they had found no signs of the men over the past few days.
Either someone is hiding them or they have sneaked over the border, the source said.
There are a number of trails along the border used by smugglers.
