Man shoots daughter, 17, then turns gun on himself in Argos
A 17-year-old girl was in critical condition after being shot twice in the head in the central square of the town of Argos in the northern Peloponnese on Monday afternoon by her 47-year-old father, who, according to local reports, subsequently turned the gun on himself.
The girl was transferred from the town’s main hospital to Nikaia General Hospital for special treatment, according to local reports, which gave no insights into the reasons behind the shooting.
Police did not confirm reports that the father turned the gun on himself, stating simply that they were seeking the perpetrator.
