PPC employee killed at Megalopolis power plant
A 55-year-old man died in a work-related accident at the Public Power Corporation’s lignite mine next to the company’s power plant in Megalopolis, in the Peloponnese, on Friday.
The incident occurred when the truck being driven by the 55-year-old overturned and he was fatally injured. The man was a professional driver working on an eight-month contract with PPC and was based in Kalamata.
The company on Friday launched an internal investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
