Thessaloniki municipal contract workers vindicated by appeals court
An Athens court on Monday vindicated 600 workers who were appealing a decision by the Municipality of Thessaloniki not to renew their fixed-term contracts, though it did not demand that they be rehired.
The court upheld the argument that the 600 are necessary to the operation of the municipal services given that their fixed-term contracts were renewed at regular intervals.
