Man accused of robbing crash victim in southern Greece
A 33-year-old Pakistani national was charged on Monday after allegedly having robbed a man dying of injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident in Ilia in the Peloponnese.
The suspect was allegedly riding his bicycle on a provincial road on Sunday morning when he came across a 30-year-old man by the side of the road suffering from fatal injuries after having crashed his motorcycle.
Police say that he took the dying man’s cell phone and cash and made no attempt to save him.
The 30-year-old victim’s motorcycle was also found near a shack in which the Pakistani suspect lived.
A search of the premises also turned up the victim’s cell phone.
