Roma woman arrested for debts to state of just under 2 mln euros

A 34-year-old member of the Roma community from Louros, near Preveza in northwestern Greece, faced a prosecutor on Wednesday in connection with an unpaid tax bill of nearly 2 million euros.

The arrest of the woman, who was not named, came following a police inspection on a Roma settlement in Louros.

The woman had been wanted by police for several months after an economic crimes prosecutor issued a warrant for her arrest over 1.95 million euros in unpaid debts to the state.
