Prison guard handed 16-year jail sentence on drugs charges
A prison guard was sentenced to 16 years in jail on Wednesday after being caught passing 150 grams of heroin to an inmate serving a life sentence for antiquities-related offenses.
The guard told the court that he had developed good relations with the prisoner and that he gave him the drug as a favor in the summer of 2004.
