Leftist MP declares 1 million euros in retirement lump-sum
Dimitris Tsoukalas, a leftist SYRIZA MP and former president of the federation of bank employee unions (OTOE), has declared 1 million euros in retirement lump-sum (efapax).
The so-called declarations of assets – better known as “pothen esches” in Greek – that some 694 politicians were obliged to submit in 2012, were published on the Parliament’s website on Monday.
In his statement, Tsoukalas said he had a total income of 840,831 euros in 2012 compared to 529,538 euros in 2011 and 102,670 euros in 2010. He declared ownership of 17 properties.
The data will remain online until January 16.
