Yemen national hangs himself in Aliens Bureau cell
A 23-year-old man from Yemen hung himself while in custody in Thessaloniki, it was revealed on Saturday.
Authorities said that the unnamed man used his T-shirt to hang himself in a cell at the northern city’s Aliens Bureau.
Police said that the man appeared to be suffering from mental problems and had been examined by a doctor, who recommended that he be given drugs.
The man had been arrested in December and was waiting to be expelled from the country.
