Four Syrians held at Iraklio airport over fake papers
Police at Iraklio airport on Crete on Thursday detained four Syrian nationals with forged documents who had intended to board a plane to Germany.
The four – three men aged 19, 20 and 22 and a 49-year-old woman – were stopped after presenting officers with forged passports.
The two men aged 20 and 22 had fake Czech travel documents, the 19-year-old had a fake German passport and the 49-year-old had forged Mexican papers, sources said.
