Second man arrested over brutal beating on Myconos

A 25-year-old Greek man was to face a prosecutor on Wednesday in connection to the brutal beating of a 31-year-old Cypriot tourist in a club on the popular Cycladic island of Myconos over the weekend.

The 25-year-old, a bouncer at a Myconos nightclub, is alleged to have dragged the 31-year-old out of the establishment in the earlier hours of Sunday for reasons that remain unclear and to have viciously beaten him, along with another Greek man, aged 34, who was detained on Monday.

Following the beating, which left the 25-year-old victim with serious head injuries, he was transferred to an Athens hospital where he remained in critical condition on Wednesday night.
