Athens lawyers, notaries extend walkout through Feb 22
Lawyers will continue their strike against increases to their social security contributions until Monday, February 22, the Athens Bar Association decided on Monday.
The union said it is not satisfied with the government’s response so far to its complaints about the proposed pension reforms.
Notary associations also announced their decision to continue strike action and called on their members to walk off the job on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Notaries are protesting the government’s planned reforms in the pension system.
As a result of the strike, auctions scheduled to take place on Wednesday have been suspended.
