Eighty migrants with food poisoning rushed from Piraeus camp to the hospital

A group of 80 migrants with symptoms of acute food poisoning were rushed from a makeshift camp at the port of Piraeus to a local hospital on Friday.

The migrants, who included men, women and children, were all transferred to the Attikon hospital and most were discharged after a checkup. Six adults and 13 children were admitted for treatment.

It was unclear what caused the symptoms.
