Sign of maturity
The decision by the main opposition party to vote in favor of the legislature on the future of the Elliniko illustrates that the Greek political system is maturing and finally converging on the obvious: that growth and new jobs will not be created by setting up roadblocks, whether metaphorical or literal, to stop investments.
The adventure of this major project, which has been ongoing for almost two decades, must also serve as a memorial of malaise, as a cemetery of missed opportunities, that will remind us in the future of what must be avoided.
