Swift justice

Tempe must not become another Mati. The probe into this national trauma must not drag on. Parliament has proven ineffective in its role as an investigator.

It falls upon the judiciary to elucidate the circumstances that led to the fatal railway crash and allocate responsibilities accordingly. The recurring pattern of lengthy investigations followed by protracted court proceedings only serves to perpetuate the feeling of impunity.
