PAO braves icy Giannina pitch
Panathinaikos remained on course for a return to the top of the soccer Super League after a hard-fought 1-0 win at the icy pitch of PAS Giannina on Sunday night.
Cleyton Silva scored the precious goal for the Greens in the 85th minute with a bicycle kick to decide a game delayed by 40 minutes since part of the pitch was very slippery.

Fourth-placed PAOK came from 1-0 down to beat visiting Ergotelis 2-1 thanks to goals by Dimitris Salpingidis and Lino.
Elsewhere Panionios beat Panetolikos 1-0 and OFI downed Doxa 2-0, while the Atromitos vs Aris and Kerkyra vs Asteras Tripolis matches ended scoreless.
