Doxa shuts Olympiakos out

In one of the season?s biggest upsets in the soccer Super League, champion Olympiakos failed to beat Doxa Dramas, which before Sunday night?s scoreless draw in Thessaloniki had only managed to garner two points from nine games.

As a result Olympiakos is now only four points ahead of Panathinaikos, but has played two more games than the Greens.

Panathinaikos was not convincing either on Sunday in its 1-0 home victory over Kerkyra, a match settled by a 24th-minute goal from the league?s top scorer, Argentine Sebastian Leto.

Meanwhile, AEK had Dimitris Sialmas to thank for his two goals in the Athens club?s 2-0 win at Levadiakos on Saturday that has brought it within five points of the top. Sialmas was sent off in the 82nd minute after collecting two bookings.

Atromitos climbed to joint fourth, along with PAOK, through an emphatic 2-0 win over OFI Crete at Peristeri, with Costas Mitroglou and Denis Epstein on target.

PAOK was held to a scoreless draw at sixth-placed Xanthi in a weekend where goals were few and far between indeed.

In other games, Ergotelis climbed to seventh via a 1-0 win over Panionios on a Sergio Leal goal from the penalty spot, Aris had Nery Castillo to thank for its 1-0 victory over visiting PAS Giannina, and Asteras Tripolis saw off Panetolikos with a 1-0 score courtesy of a Christos Pipinis goal.
