Competing at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships…
Competing at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships in South Korea yesterday, Dimitris Papageridis, 19, won three gold medals in the heavyweight (over 105kg) category and set two new national records. Papageridis, a former wrestler, won gold in the clean-and-jerk with a 215kg lift, gold in the snatch with a 182kg performance, and gold for his overall tally of 397 kilos.
