UNGA unanimously adopts Greek resolution on return of cultural property

A resolution proposed by Greece and titled “Return or restitution of cultural property to the countries of origin” has been unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. 

Greece’s three-year resolution was supported by an unprecedented 111 countries, the Foreign Ministry said in a post on Twitter on Tuesday.

The resolution was adopted by the Plenary Session on Monday, it added.
