Book takes a silent look at Mr Freud
Ilse Grubrich-Simiti, a psychoanalyst and wife of Professor Spyros Simitis, brother of Prime Minister Costas Simitis, last night presented her new book, «Return to Freud’s Texts – the Silent Language of Manuscripts,» at the Goethe Institute. The book has just been published in Greek by Exandas Publications and the Goethe Institute. There was a discussion with the author by professors Makis Kouzelis, Tassos Bougas and Nikos Tzavaras. Grubrich-Simitis and her husband always spend their vacations in Greece. Helbi has met them on the islands of Lemnos, Hydra and Crete, and recalls them sitting facing the sea, under their beach umbrellas, reading their books, and in the evenings, chatting over dinner by candlelight, an image that might have left Freud indifferent.
