PM to announce increase in minimum wage

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will announce government plans to increase the monthly minimum wage on Wednesday at 7 p.m., his office said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Mitsotakis met with Labor Minister Costis Hatzidakis to discuss the changes which will come into effect on May 1.

The changes are expected to affect more than 600,000 salaried workers.
