Greek CEOs more optimistic in the third quarter

The economic sentiment indicator ACEO/ICAP (CRIF-CEO General Index) rose slightly in the third quarter of 2022 to 137 points from 136 in the second quarter, the Association of Chief Executive Officers said in its quarterly report.

A sample of 2,540 CEOs/managing directors from the largest Greek enterprises provided their opinions in the period September 13 to October 1.

The current economic conditions index rose to 181 points, with the percentage of CEOs saying that the situation has improved compared with the previous year, rising to 32% from 26%.

The current business conditions index edged up to 114 points from 111 points in the previous quarter, with the percentage of CEOs saying that the current situation has improved rising to 49% from 45%.

The current spending on fixed-capital investments index eased to 120 points from 124 in the previous quarter, while the employment index fell to 113 points from 122, respectively.
