Incentives for full-time employment

The Labor Ministry seeks to legalize a part of the uninsured labor in the market by subsidizing a significant part of such workers’ social security contributions, as well as offering procedures for the correct use of the measure by small and medium-sized enterprises, through the provision of its insurance bill for the conversion of part-time to full-time contracts.

Having established through the competent services that a large part of those declared as in part-time employment are in fact in full-time positions, which are not declared as such, the ministry will subsidize businesses to convert part-time contracts into full-time ones.

The subsidy concerns 40% of the insurance contributions not only of the employer but also of the employee, who will therefore also see a direct benefit in their salary, in addition to social security. The provision, of course, also provides for strong guarantees, such as the charging of all contributions, increased by 100% in the event that the employer does not comply with the stipulated conditions – for example maintaining the same number of employees or maintaining the contract for a year.
