Fincantieri, Elefsis Shipyards and local industrial firms sign MoUs

Fincantieri signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Elefsis Shipyards and Greek industrial companies at the Italian Embassy in Athens on Sunday, it said in a tweet on Monday.

Italy-based Fincantieri said in its tweet that the event took place at Onex-owned Elefsis Shipyards.

In a press statement on Sunday, Fincantieri said it signed the MoUs “with a selection of potential new suppliers in the context of the high-profile process pursued by the Hellenic minister of national defense for the construction of four corvettes and the provision of integrated logistic support and in-service support.”

Both shipbuilder Fincantieri and Leonardo, specializing in aerospace, defense and security, signed the MoUs that will “set the basis for defining possible business relationships for specific supplies.”
