Greek hospitality turnover grows 28.6% in Q1 y-o-y

Hospitality enterprises’ turnover grew 28.6% in the first quarter of 2023, totaling €375.26 million euros, from €291.9 million in the corresponding period last year, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Tuesday.

Enterprises located in the Thessaloniki region recorded the biggest percentage increase (70.9%), while the smallest increase was recorded on the island of Kos.

Enterprises in the restaurant business reported a 27% increase in turnover in the January-March period totaling €1.52 billion, from €1.2 billion in the same period in 2022.

Enterprises on Santorini recorded the biggest percentage increase in turnover (42.4%), while the smallest increase was recorded on Mykonos (12.5%).
