Drone delivery trial held in Trikala
A drone was used to transport drugs to a regional pharmacy in Trikala, northwestern Greece yesterday as part of the EU-funded Harmony project. “This is not science fiction,” Trikala Mayor Dimitris Papastergiou said after the first test flight to a pharmacy in the village of Leptokarya. The technology can be used to deliver essential supplies to isolated areas or vulnerable people.
