Maria Callas statue to be unveiled
The Maria Callas Greek Society will unveil a statue of the renowned American-born Greek soprano Maria Callas on Friday afternoon in central Athens. The bronze statue was created by sculptor Aphrodite Liti, who told Kathimerini, “It includes many references to the life of the great singer, but also to the history of art itself.”
