Elderly woman hit and killed by train in Athens
An elderly woman was hit and killed by an incoming Intercity train in Athens on Friday.
The incident took place at the crossroad of Konstantinoupoleos and Damvergi Street, in the district of Sepolia.
Railway operator Trainose said in a press release the woman “ignored a warning signal resulting in her fatal injury” from a carriage of the Athens – Halkida train service.
